Public Opinion on the Gaza War: A Cross-National Perspective
A special webinar titled “Public Opinion on the Gaza War: A Cross-National Perspective“ was organized by the West Asia North Africa (WANA) Regional Chapter of WAPOR on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
This webinar showcased insights from a comparative cross-national survey conducted across eight countries: Pakistan, Syria , Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait, Libya, and Jordan. The survey explores public perceptions and attitudes toward the Gaza war, one year after the conflict’s outbreak. These findings offer a comprehensive look at how the war has shaped public opinion both in the region and beyond.
The speakers at the webinar were Munqith Dagher (IIACSS, Iraq/ Jordan), Nader Saeed (AWRAD, Palestine) and Samir Abu Rumman (Princeton University, USA/ World of Opinions, Kuwait).
The Gaza war has had far-reaching consequences, making this event a valuable opportunity to explore its impact on international public opinion and gain a deeper understanding of its long-term effects.
Thank you for your continued engagement with WAPOR.
Sincerely,
