WAP 2023 Elections – Call for Nominations

Dear Members of the WAPOR Asia Pacific Chapter,

The WAPOR Asia Pacific Executive Committee appointed me as the Chair of the Electoral Committee 2023. President Jibum Kim and Vice President Linda Luz Guerrero are the other members of the Electoral Committee. We now call for nominations for the post of Vice President and President-Elect to be filled by election.

Regarding the post of Vice President and President-Elect to be filled by election, nominations including self-nominations of WAPOR Asia Pacific members are due to the Secretariat at wapor.asia@gmail.com by November 1, 2023. All nominations should contain the name of the nominee and his/her qualifications. Only nominations from WAPOR Asia Pacific members in good standing will be considered.

The Vice President and President-Elect shall act as the President’s deputy. S/He shall automatically become President the following term. S/He shall take over the Presidency if the office becomes vacant.

The elected Vice President and President-Elect will serve a two-year term that runs from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025.

4.7 The Vice President and President-Elect shall act as the President’s deputy. S/He shall automatically become President the following term. S/He shall take over the Presidency if the office becomes vacant.

4.15 The term of office for all Council and Committee members shall be two years… The Vice President and President-Elect shall be elected in odd-numbered years…The Vice President, upon completion of a two-year term, will automatically become President for a two-year term, after which s/he will serve for two years as Past President. Terms start on January 1.
