On February 8, 2011, WAPOR Latinoamérica became the first recognized chapter of the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR). According to Article VII of the WAPOR constitution, “members of WAPOR may organize into regional (countries or groups of countries) chapters with the aim of furthering the general purposes of WAPOR and shall be given recognition by WAPOR.” The newly formed WAPOR Asia Pacific chapter was approved on July 6, 2016. Most recently the WAPOR West Asia and North Africa (WANA) chapter was approved on February 10, 2018.
Each chapter maintains its own website, by-laws and other organizational documents that are reasonably consistent with the WAPOR’s goals and objectives as determined by the WAPOR Council. You can read more about the regional chapters here.
