WAPOR Global Policy Forum 2024

The World Association for Public Opinion Research held its first Global Policy Forum, a new format designed for open, substantive discussions among members. WAPOR President Robert Chung emphasized the forum’s goal of meaningful engagement ahead of the upcoming annual conference in Seoul.

The event addressed WAPOR’s long-term development, membership growth, and chapter collaboration. Executive Director Kseniya Kizilova presented findings from the 2023 membership survey, noting record-high membership but some decline in satisfaction among new members. Key suggestions included more workshops and networking opportunities.

Strategic priorities for 2025-2030 were discussed, focusing on innovation, global standards, and technology integration. Strategies to increase membership and support regional chapters were also explored. Transparency and collaboration initiatives, including a proposed global report on important topic, were highlighted.

The forum underscored WAPOR’s commitment to advancing public opinion research through innovation and global collaboration. Insights from the forum will guide WAPOR’s strategic direction, ensuring continued growth and relevance.
