Sebastián Rivera, Assistant Professor in the School of Government and Public Administration at Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on political communication, public opinion, and political behavior, with a particular emphasis on election campaigns. His work has been published in journals such as Political Communication, Research & Politics, The International Journal of Press/Politics, Social Media + Society, and Política y Gobierno, among others.
Rehman Hassan, a passionate human rights and health equity advocate with extensive experience authoring influential publications and advising various UN agencies, US government agencies, and state and local governments, including the World Health Organization, UN Human Rights, UN Habitat, UNICEF, White House, USAID, U.S. Department of Justice, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, California Department of Public Health, and more. Rehman’s work has shaped high-profile policies and programs, with research cited nearly a dozen times at the UN General Assembly and Human Rights Council. Key efforts at USAID include co-authoring the AI in Global Development Playbook and the Global AI Research Agenda, setting the United States’ policy on artificial intelligence in international contexts, focused on equity and human rights.
