Join us at March 18th, for our webinar “Introducing the New United Nations Handbook of Surveys on Households and Individuals: Foundations and Emerging Approaches” with Haoyi Chen (USA) and Charles Lau (USA).

Developed by the UN Statistics Division under the guidance of the Inter-Secretariat Working Group on Household Surveys, the new handbook is a comprehensive revision after the 1984 edition. The final draft of the handbook is available as a background document to the 57th session of the UN Statistical Commission. The handbook reflects two years of intensive collaborative work involving around 100 experts from national statistical offices, subregional, regional and international organisations, academia and private sector, and was shaped through multiple rounds of surveys, consultations, and in-person meetings.

The webinar will feature an overview of the handbook and its development, country perspectives on its relevance and next steps, and discussions with national statistical offices and international experts on the uptake of the handbook.
